Hercules XPS 2.1 20 Black Edition

$38.72 Released May, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Satellite design features a very small footprint - takes up very little desktop space. Great sound quality, especially for the price. Wired remote control offers easy access to volume control and a headphone input.

The Cons:Bass control knob is on the back of the subwoofer rather than on the control unit. Poor build quality - everything is made out of cheap-feeling plastic.

The Hercules XPS 2.1 20 Black Edition is a multimedia 2.1 speaker system. This is a cosmetic redesign of the original Hercules XPS 2.1 20, and has all of the same features with only slight changes to the basic design and a black finish on both the satellites and subwoofer.

The features are also similar to the Hercules XPS 2.1 12, but the total peak power output has been increased to 20 watts. Both a line and headphones inputs are built into the wired remote, and appear next to a volume control dial. A bass volume control knob is mounted on the back of the subwoofer for independent control of how much bass is available. The system uses an integrated power supply, and magnetically shielding in the satellite speakers prevents external interference.
