Creative N400
$80.00
Released October, 2008
The Pros:Light weight and easy to move around the desk. Draw USB power cutting down on the wires. Speakers are well-finished and look nice on the desk.
The Cons:Not universally compatible with all operating systems. Extra x-Fi audio enhancement software is Windows-only.
The Creative N400 is a low-powered, but easy plug & play, USB-based 2.1-channel multimedia audio system. It’s kind of like the Inspire T12, except that it’s based on USB connectivity versus stereo.

Plus its two speakers are limited to a 2W output, unlike the 9W output of its peer. One improvement however is the addition of a travel case. Users say the N400 works best on a Windows machine running the proprietary X-Fi/3D Crystalizer software. However the unit is compatible with Macintosh computers as well.
