The VS4121 is also the only system in the VS series to include a down-firing midrange driver in each speaker that uses the surface underneath them to deliver enhanced sound dispersion. In addition, the VS4121 features a headphone jack, an audio input jack for iPod/MP3/CD players, and a “longthrow” subwoofer housed in a solid-wood cabinet and designed to pulsate with bass. The Altec Lansing VS4121 is priced at $79.95, exactly $20 over the VS2521 and $30 over the VS2421.
